I love these two: so unabashedly PINK! ***WHERE did he get that suit?!? And I love how sassy she looks with the bow on top but really covet her silver shoes. I am a complete sucker for silver and for high heels so this is the perfect combo in my opinion!
Thank you Wangari M for giving me the info on the suit. I Googled it and yes, it is indeed a Moods of Norway suit! There website is brilliant and I have to say since I'm 50% Norwegian I love to see fashion coming out of there :)

Sweater Girl
I thought this girl was so cute I had her stand on the bench so that I could take her photo. (it was a bit crowded -though I'm sorry I missed her shoes.) Admittedly, denim shorts with black tights of some sort is not uncommon but these particular tights are really cute. And the homespun charm of the sweater works for her...

Patricia Field @ KennyKenny Opening
Not only do I love Patricia Field for dressing club kids through the ages but I love that she dresses like a rock star herself. The lavender satin motorcycle jacket is great but the jeans are beyond brilliant. I don't know if they came this way or she made them herself but I am utterly inspired. I dare you all to try this at home as well! And check out the detail shot below.

NYC Street Style
My dear friend Colleen Koltick was rocking this custom made Pegasus jacket at our Get Your Fame On party last Saturday night at Sloane. The image looks like it was taken off a 5th grade girl's notebook, but the sweetness is offset by the additional spikes and studs. And I love that Colleen's eyeshadow matches the jacket...a genius bit of chance.

jungle fever
When was the last time you saw such a full-on print? (Not counting that insipid Liberty floral at your local Target) It's like a Project Runway challenge to use the fabric for something other than a "Hawaiian Shirt." ...I do love that they're having fun and her draped skirt and pink booties are quite of the moment.

Punk In Pink
Pink hair isn't seen as much as it used to be, but I still love seeing it. It's like coming across an old box of My Little Ponies...reminding you of childhood yet slightly twisted. I wonder if this girl always wears pink as well? Or if she changes the color of her clothing and hair simultaneously? Either way it's nice to get a reprieve from black! And her own styling with the biker boots, electric yellow bag and...wristband up the arm(?) keep it as quirky as it is cute.

We love Betsey Johnson
On Tuesday night The National Arts Club, located in an amazing mansion on Gramery Park, honored Betsey Johnson with a Lifetime Achievement Award. I love how Betsey keeps true to her own style and challenges the concept of "age appropriate." And with so many women (including me) wearing her designs that night she stilllooked like the coolest girl in school. Proving that no imitations can substitute for the real thing.

Hello Upper Eastsiders...
I purposely saved this photo of Sarah to post today because I thought it was the premiere of the new season of Gossip Girl...and then I was informed that it is in fact the 3rd episode tonight. Where have I been??? (Oh that's right. Out in New York, not watching it on T.V.) Nevertheless although I have serious doubts about Blair at NYU I do love Blair's sassy style. Sarah here has it in spades. Maybe she would befriend poor Blair...but alas Blair is fictional...

2 at Brooklyn Royalty
I met Jamie, a model and Rose Mae, an emerging fashion designer at The Brooklyn Royalty show and have seen them everywhere since. Isn't it crazy what a small world NYC can be? Anyways, I've hardly been home long enough to upload photos but more fashion show coverage coming soon and an exclusive interview with Bob Bland - designer of the Brooklyn Royalty label - featured as well.

A way to beat the heat
and still look great is by slipping on a simple patterned shift dress. Dress it up with accessories or heels...although white would not be our first choice.

John Hughes casting call?
Remember Sixteen Candles? The Breakfast Club? John Hughes was a master of teen angst in the Eighties. We can't help but think these two would be shoo-ins for modern reinterpretations of those classics.

World Famous *BOB* at Deitch Gallery for Liz Renay Retrospective.
,b
We attended the opening for the Liz Renay Retrospective at the Deitch Gallery. While less than impressed with the artwork, we were thrilled to get this photo of burlesque queen extraordinaire World Famous *BOB* posing with her toy poodle Movie Star alongside a diminutive appearing Jeffrey Deitch. *BOB* is a brilliant example of someone who has fearlessly cultivated her own style.
