Last night there was a little fashion show at the Rivington Hotel. This boy was in the audience but I liked the boxy jacket with the ripped jeans and boots...so here he is...photos from the show itself coming soon.

I don't have alot to say about these two. I just thought they had good style. Not in a "I'm trying hard to look like I'm not trying hard" kind of way but the kind of style that comes from genuine self assurance that you don't see alot of in NYC but never in LA. And I love the suspenders...

This is Pete and Kim who I met at the Coffee Shop bar last week. They're originally from Australia but are currently living and rocking in LA with their band the Hot Kicks. And they definitely look like a certain LA scene but were alot nicer than many LA peeps...maybe that's the Aussie in 'em!

If there is ANY doubt that black is back with a vengeance one only has to go out at night in this city. Yes, there are the visiting suburban girls in their colorful minidresses from Intermix or Forever 21, but more and more I'm seeing black, black and more black. Is this a nod to the recession? If it's black it will go with everything and, like this girl wearing pearls with Iron Maiden, everything goes?

Love the short hair...kind of like a new version of the pixie cut. I'm also loving someone who looks great without looking like she's consciously referencing a former decade.
